Wrestle for Joy officially stepped into the ring with an unforgettable launch event centered around one simple mission: creating moments of joy for kids and families through the worlds of professional wrestling and gaming.
The event brought together Miracle Families, professional wrestlers, gamers, volunteers, and supporters for a day filled with smiles, competition, creativity, and new friendships.
Wrestlers from Empire Pro Wrestling and Unified Wrestling Oklahoma joined us throughout the event, signing autographs, taking pictures, and—most importantly—spending time playing games and interacting with the kids. Having local wrestlers share their time helped bring the excitement of professional wrestling directly to our families and made every child feel like part of the show.
The launch event was held in collaboration with Children’s Miracle Network through Extra Life, welcoming numerous Miracle Families to experience everything Wrestle for Joy has to offer. Kids and families battled it out in games including Fortnite, Mario Kart, WWE 2K26, and more, creating an environment where everyone could play, laugh, and connect.
Gaming wasn’t the only activity. Our bracelet creation station gave kids an opportunity to step away from the controllers and create something of their own to take home as a reminder of the day.
Creating the Next NCW Miracle League Superstars
One of the biggest highlights of the event was giving Miracle Families the opportunity to create their very own professional wrestling superstar and officially become part of the NCW Miracle League roster.
The NCW Miracle League is Wrestle for Joy’s interactive wrestling and gaming program that gives children and Miracle Families the opportunity to transform their creativity into their own custom wrestling superstar. Participants help design their character, including their name, appearance, personality, wrestling style, and signature moves. Their creations are then brought to life inside WWE 2K26 and become official members of the NCW Miracle League.
Through gaming, creativity, storytelling, and professional wrestling, the Miracle League gives kids the chance to become more than spectators—they get to become the Superstars.
Our launch event was only the beginning. As Wrestle for Joy and the NCW Miracle League continue to grow, we look forward to welcoming even more families, creating more Superstars, and building unforgettable experiences together.
